WATCH: ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’ Official Teaser

**Update** Activision has officially confirmed via Twitter that Call of Duty 2015 is, in fact, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

After months of speculation and guestimations by the gaming community, Activision has finally given us a nod to let us know that Call of Duty 2015 is going to be a Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 by releasing a new teaser on the official Call of Duty YouTube Channel.

Of course, they still didn’t come out and directly say that the next Call of Duty is, in fact, for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, but there are many aspects within the teaser to lead us to believe that, and it’s so obvious that they should’ve just gone ahead and said that’s what it is.

You’ll first notice that the teaser is named “#backinblack” (you know, as in BLACK Ops). Secondly, you’ll notice the figure in the video positioned in the same manner as the original Black Ops cover. And, finally, there’s the whole Roman numeral “III” at the end of the video. And, we do know that the game is being developed by Treyarch (developers of Black Ops and Black Ops 2).

We’ll see the official world reveal later this month on April 26, 2015. We can fully expect to see more details on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 at E3 2015 in June, as there is always a big presentation on Activision’s biggest game. Hopefully, Black Ops 3 will return the franchise to form, as last year’s Advanced Warfare was quite a different experience (not that it was a bad game, just different).

We can expect Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to be released for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, although a last-gen version on Xbox 360 or PS3 could be happening, too. We’ll know more at the end of the month.
