The slate of upcoming Xbox One games is absolutely ridiculous — in a good way, of course. If you’re an Xbox One owner, you’d better prepare your wallet for the slew of oncoming awesome games that are set to release this fall. From new installments of your favorite exclusives to the massive multi-console games, the fall is going to have something for everyone to play.
So without further ado, here are the top 7 best upcoming Xbox One games coming this fall:
1. Forza Motorsport 6
Release Date: September 15
Forza Motorsport is one of the top-tier Xbox exclusives, and the upcoming 6th iteration of the game looks absolutely stunning. With a fully-rendered Ford GT supercar, as well as tons of others, Forza 6 is definitely going to be a racing game to remember. It’ll run at 1080p 60fps, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
2. LEGO Dimensions
Release Date: September 27
For a non first-party game, the choice is clearly LEGO Dimensions, which will bring together many of the LEGO franchise games into one extremely cool idea. Now, you’ll be able to have Batman team up with Peter Venkman from Ghostbusters and Scooby Doo, if you’d like. You can put Homer Simpson in a tardis with Doc Brown and Marty in tow. With all of the many LEGO franchises, the possibilities are endless. And, there will be additional waves of LEGO worlds added in the future, so the fun could potentially continue for years to come.
3. Halo 5: Guardians
Release Date: October 27
Halo 5: Guardians is definitely going to be the most played out of all of the fall’s upcoming Xbox One games, as most Halo games tend to be. Master Chief will go head to head with Spartan Locke, and we’re anxious to find out who comes out the victor. Also, Nathan Fillon is in it. So, there’s that.
4. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
Release Date: November 6
Of course, it wouldn’t be the fall if there weren’t a new Call of Duty heading our way. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 looks to take the same route as Advanced Warfare with the use of exo-suits and the like, taking a more Halo-like approach to gameplay (which is funny, because Halo 5 appears to take the more Call of Duty approach). Still, the recent beta suggests that the fans are loving Black Ops 3, and it’s obviously going to sell well, meaning you’ll have tons of friends to play with.
5. Star Wars Battlefront
Release Date: November 17
Fighter squadron mode, people, fighter squadron mode! This is not a drill! This is the first new Star Wars game in over five years, and the fans can’t wait to get their hands on it. The game will take players into epic battles on iconic planets, including Hoth, Endor and the new Tatooine. It’ll release a month before Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so you’ll be all Star Wars‘ed-up by the time the movie comes out. Even if you aren’t a fan of the franchise, Star Wars Battlefront looks to be tons of fun.
6. Just Cause 3
Release Date: December 1
It may be time for the open-world gaming trend to die down, but not before we get to play Just Cause 3. The game looks as ridiculously fun as ever, with big explosions and great action sequences, and we can’t wait to get in there and completely ignore the story while we wreak havoc upon the world.
7. Fallout 4
Release Dates: November 10
Fallout lovers have all been waiting impatiently for Fallout 4, and now that we’ve seen gameplay, we are even more excited. The world looks great, and we can’t wait to start exploring what will undoubtedly be another Bethesda masterpiece.
