**Update: Check out the upcoming Xbox One games March 2016 edition here.**

2015 was an incredible year for gaming. Whether you’re a PS4 owner or an Xbox One gamer, it’s likely that you had a great year. But now that the Christmas dust has settled, we’re ready to look at the upcoming Xbox One games of the year.

January is usually a dud, and 2016 wasn’t any different. But February brings the first wave of potentially great Xbox One games to play, including some of the most anticipated games of the year.

So if you’re looking for Xbox One game release dates, here are the top 5 best upcoming Xbox One games of February 2016:

1. Mighty No. 9

Release Date: February 9, 2016

Mighty No. 9 is one of the most anticipated games of the year, and it’s coming to every console that’s available now, including the Xbox One. The game has unfortunately been marred by a rocky development, and there have been numerous Mighty No. 9 release date delays over the past year. But it looks like the game is finally ready to see the light of day, with the developer Comcept set to release the game on February 9. We’re not sure whether or not the game is going to live up to its expectations, but we can’t wait to find out.

2. Unravel

Release Date: February 9, 2016

Unravel is one of EA’s newly announced IPs, and it looks to be a creative and fun game to play. You’re basically a yarn character who will use their yarn to traverse through levels with unique mechanics. We haven’t heard much from EA about Unnravel since its original announcement, so we’re a little concerned that this one might actually be pushed back. Hopefully, that’s not the case, and we’ll be able to get our hands on the game on February 9 (which appears to have a few Xbox One game releases).

3. The Walking Dead: Michonne Episode 1

Release Date: February 9, 2016

Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead franchise fueled the rise of episodic games, and now the company is ready to release yet another episodic, The Walking Dead: Michonne. That’s right, everyone’s favorite katana-toting badass will star in her own game, giving us a look at her story. The game will serve as a tie-in for the existing The Walking Dead seasons developed by Telltale.

4. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2

Release Date: February 23, 2016

EA is releasing a second game in February with Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2a follow-up to the wildly successful game that released just one year ago. The game will “largely remain the same as its predecessor,” however, EA and PopCap will add 6 new plant and zombie classes, a zombie version of Garden Ops, and a new 24-person mode called Herbal Assault. The game will have solo play, too, so you won’t need an internet connection to play (unlike with the first game).

5. Far Cry Primal

Release Date: February 23, 2016

February’s biggest upcoming Xbox One game is Far Cry Primal, which could become a surprise hit. Sure, Far Cry games typically do well, but this game has no cars or guns (which are a big part of what makes Far Cry great). The game is set in the Stone Age, putting players in the role of an unarmed hunter who rises to become the leader of a tribe. The game is a very interesting concept, and Ubisoft even had professional linguists create a historically accurate language specifically for the game.
