A day before the release of cyberpunk role-playing game Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Square Enix and Eidos Montreal have detailed the content and price of the game’s Season Pass.
In Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, players will once again take on the role of Adam Jensen – this time in the wake of the infamous Aug Incident – and race against time to unravel a vast worldwide conspiracy. The game’s developers promise to provide players with “a unique puzzle shooter experience”. So far, it seems to be receiving generally favorable reviews.
Some reviewers such as Polygon, however, have pointed to the fact that the game ends rather abruptly and the story feels incomplete. They have expressed concern that the DLC may be an attempt to wring money out of players in order to finish the main storyline.
The Season Pass DLC gives access to bonus content which contains a mixture of story missions and in-game items that will help bring further depth to the Deus Ex universe. Square Enix has provided little information in regards to the two bonus story missions, so all we know thus far is two names and vague time frames:
System Rift – Available this fall.
A Criminal Past – Available Early 2017
All the in-game items listed below, however, will be available August 23 (the same day the game releases):
Assault Pack: Prepare to advance and assault the enemy with a custom skinned Battle Rifle, the Chaff Augmentation, one pack of regular Battle Rifle ammo, one pack of armor piercing Battle Rifle ammo, 2 Frag Grenades, and 2 EMP Grenades.
Tactical Pack: Using distance to your advantage, eliminate your targets silently with a custom skinned Tranquilizer Rifle, the Micro Assembler Augmentation, one pack of tranquilizer ammo, 3 Smoke Grenades, and 2 Gas Grenades.
4 Praxis Kits – These additional Praxis Kits will allow you to further develop the augmentations of your choosing, moving you one step closer to unlocking Adam’s full potential.
5000 Credits – Bolster your wallet with additional credits, providing you with extra spending money to purchase Praxis Kits, ammo, weapons, or anything else you may find at the shops in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
1000 Crafting Parts – Use crafting parts to craft upgrades, such as increased damage and accuracy, for any weapon in your inventory.
5 Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Breach Booster Packs – Open your booster packs to unlock new weapons and items, Praxis points, premium ammo, and more, helping to augment and enhance your avatar in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Breach.
20 Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Breach Chipsets – Use your chipsets to acquire exclusive items in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Breach, such as premium Booster Packs and custom weapons.
The Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Season Pass is included with the Digital Deluxe Edition and can also be purchased separately on the Xbox, Playstation Network, and Steam stores for $29.99.
Deux Ex: Mankind Divided will release on August 23 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
