‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered’ Is Available to Play Right Now

Call of Duty Modern Warfare is perhaps one of the most important shooters of gaming’s last generation thanks to its solid campaign, streamlined multiplayer, and its shift in setting. While the game itself was released way back in 2007, Call of Duty Modern Warfare was a title that fans have been clamoring to see remastered since the release of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This pray was answered when Activision announced that there would be a fully remastered version of the game, but you would need to buy the $80 Legacy Edition of Call of Duty Infinite Warfare to play it.

With Infinite Warfare set to release on November 4, those who pre-ordered the digital edition of the game now have access to Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered. If you pre-ordered the physical copy of the game you will not have access as the remaster is tied to the physical disc of Infinite Warfare. It’s also important to note that you need to own the Legacy Edition of the game to currently play Call of Duty Modern Warfare, however, there have been rumors that Infinity Ward may release it as a standalone title later down the road.

Also, according to CharlieIntel the actual size of the game will be 130 GB on PS4, making it one of the largest file sizes to date. Now this large file includes both Infinite and Modern Warfare, so if you only want to play the latter expect the filesize to be far smaller. This also can vary depending on which gaming platform you are downloading the game too, as it’s quite possible it could be smaller on others. Either way, if you have already pre-ordered the Legacy Edition you will be able to experience one of the most critically acclaimed shooters of all time with updated visuals and streamlined multiplayer. Get out there soldier.
