pokemon sun and moon demo release time, when will the pokemon sun moon demo come out

A gameplay demo of Pokemon Sun & Moon is supposed to come out on October 18 in the Nintendo 3DS eShop. An official Nintendo press release about the demo reads:

Beginning October 18, the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Special Demo Version will be available in Nintendo eShop. This is your chance to meet the Pokémon that can be found in November 18’s Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon! Ash-Greninja, the Pokémon that appears with the hero Ash in the animated TV series Pokémon the Series: XYZ, will also appear in this game as a member of your team—you can adventure together!

However, an exact time is not given. When will it come out in the United States and Europe?

According to a Nintendo Europe press release, the demo will come out for Europeans “late morning.” However, it was not confirmed that the launch will be global.

If it is a global launch in the late morning, Europe runs about 5-7 hours ahead of American EDT. If the demo became available in the eShop at 11 a.m., it would be available around 6 a.m. to East Coast Americans, 5 a.m. to CDT, 4 a.m. to MDT, and 3 a.m. to PDT.

However, it appears that the first 15-minutes of gameplay has accidentally leaked online on a German YouTube channel. The YouTube video leak was noticed by Redditors in /r/pokemon and was quickly pulled down, but not before it was shared by fans on other channels. Watch it here.

The demo requires 3.2 GB of free space, bigger than all of Nintendo’s previous demos for games. Serebii’s Joe Merrick said it’s bigger than the Super Smash Bros. demo, which had been the largest yet at 2.1GB.
