A Valentine’s Day event in ‘Pokemon Go’ has begun. (Niantic)
A special week-long Valentine’s Day event in Pokemon Go has just been announced, during which Lure Modules will last for much longer than usual.
As Niantic revealed on its website this morning, from February 8th through February 15th, Lure Modules will last for six hours. That’s 12 times longer than usual, as Lure Modules typically last only a half-hour.
During past holiday events, the effect of Lure Modules has frequently been extended, but it’s usually only by another half-hour or so. Never before have players received such a significant bonus.
Also during this Valentine’s Day week, pink Pokemon will spawn more often, and Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum will hatch from eggs more often. But it’s the Lure Module bonus that is most likely to draw players in, as that bonus will really help in catching quite a lot of Pokemon.
