Playstation Says You Can Stream PS4 Games Using PS Now This Year

PS Now, Playstation

Playstation Now is a streaming service that allows gamers to play PS3 games on their PS4 and PC. The service is now expanding to include PS4 games according to this Playstation blog post.

We’re excited to announce that PS Now’s catalog is set to grow even further, as we’ll be expanding to include a new platform: PlayStation 4 games. All of the games in the service, including PS4 games, will be included with a single PS Now subscription. We’ll share more information as we get closer to launch, so stay tuned.

Testing PS4 games on the service will begin in a few weeks and if you’re an active PS Now subscriber, you may receive an invitation to become one of those testers.

PS Now runs entirely through the cloud so a strong internet connection is ideal to enjoying the games to their full potential. Since it uses the cloud, you will not need to download the games but instead just pick one and play, similar to Netflix with TV shows. Cloud saving is also a feature which would allow you to seamlessly play a game on both your PS4 and PC and still use the same save file.

You can sign up for a free 7-day trial if you haven’t tried the service yet. A 1-month subscription is $19.99 and a 3-month subscription is $44.99. The service currently features 483 PS3 games.
