A new Pokemon Go update has just been released.

The latest version of the game, 1.29.1 for iOS and 0.59.1 for Android, was announced on Friday afternoon. According to Niantic’s patch notes, the main purpose of this update is to add in a new bonus in which players receive an evolution item after a seven-day “First PokéStop of the Day” streak.

This is a big change that should make it much easier for players to collect all of the game’s evolution items. Ever since the February update, which added in generation two Pokemon, players have complained about the rarity of evolution items, with most only receiving one item every few hundred PokeStop visits.

That’s the only thing that’s included in today’s patch notes other than “minor text fixes.”
