Bungie is Looking Into Destiny 2 Beta Termite Errors

Destiny 2

Today is finally the day that Destiny 2 gamers have been waiting for. If you have pre-ordered Destiny 2 and own a PS4, the beta is officially opened for you. This open beta gives players a chance to experience the first campaign mission, a strike and the new PvP mode called Countdown.

PS4 players get the beta first, followed by Xbox One and then PC players get their crack at the beta in August.

As with most popular games with set start dates, the servers quickly became flooded with players and couldn’t keep up. While the game is running for many players without a problem, there are some players with issues actually getting into the game.

Players are getting what is called the Termite error code which is preventing them from being able to hop in on the action. Bungie encourages players to keep trying and there have been players that have reported they got through after trying to log in again several times. Bungie says they are looking into the issue but just tell people to keep trying to log in and the issue will disappear.

As the population of the beta rises, it’s likely more players will experience issues but it looks like Bungie will be trying to iron out those problems as quickly as they appear.

The beta runs through July 23 for all platforms, with PS4 players getting an extra day due to their start date beginning today. Don’t fret if you haven’t pre-ordered Destiny 2, you will still get a shot at the beta, just at a later time than those who actually pre-ordered. Both consoles will have their beta unlocked July 21 for non-pre-orders. Having two days to get through the limited content should be more than enough, though.

For the actual times everything unlocks, you can head here.
