Diablo 3 Season 11: What Class Should You Pick?

Blizzard Season 11 Class Sets

After much hype, the long awaited Season 11 of Diablo 3 begins today. This is a big season as it marks the seasonal debut of a brand new class: the Necromancer. This means the monotony of leveling a new character, often the same one, can be broken up by trying a new class. You’ll still be doing the same stuff, but now you can blow up corpses as you do it.

With Season 11, we’re likely going to see a lot of Necromancers out there since the class is still very fresh. Players have had about a month to test out the new class and learn its ins and outs, it has even received a hotfix already. There has never been more choices in Diablo 3 up to this point. However, if you don’t want to share the same class with everyone, you should probably stay away from the Necromancer this season.

This season also gives players some new zones to play in. Patch 2.6.0, whether you bought the Necromancer pack or not, added The Shrouded Moors and Temple of the Fistborn. It’s not a lot but it’s something new to go and see while you’re completing bounties and exploring Adventure Mode.

Of course, the Bone Spear throwing and skeleton summoning of the Necromancer might not appeal to you and that’s okay. The old and reliable classes still remain an option and I’m going to have trouble giving up my Barbarian for this Season.

If you’re having trouble choosing a class, you can use this trusty wheel and let the RNG gods decide your fate. You might also want to take a look at the different Legendary sets each class will be given this season for progressing in the journey.

As for me, I’m going to choose the Necromancer. It has been a long time since I’ve been anything but a Barbarian for Seasonal play so I’m looking forward to something new. I haven’t spent a ton of time with the new class but I did complete the storyline and reach level 70, so I’m looking forward to taking the Necromancer to new heights. I also need more Corpse Explosion in my life.
