What was previously known as Shin Megami Tensei: Brand New Title is now known as the next installment of the Shin Megami Tensei series, Shin Megami Tensei V.

The game will be coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch. A release date was not yet announced. The game is also being made in Unreal Engine 4.

The game was officially announced during a Shin Megami Tensei HD project livestream on publisher Atlus’ YouTube channel. The trailer itself doesn’t covey a whole lot about the game but it does show off some cool demon designs and gives us a general mood of the game. We can assume that it will contain the same demon collecting and dungeon crawling gameplay that fans have come to know and love.

The game was first announced during the Nintendo Switch unveiling event last January, though it only had a working title. The trailer back then was also pretty vague, but it did feature a bunch of cool demons for the player to supposedly collect.

We’ll also be getting a Shin Megami Tensei game on the Nintendo 3DS with Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux, a remastered edition of the DS game with new story content, additional endings, a new dungeon, and more. It’s coming in early 2018.

Shin Megami Tensei has been around since 1992, and has embraced Nintendo platforms in recent years. The most recent entry is Shin Megami Tensei 4: Apocalypse on the 3DS in February 2016. In June 2016, Shin Megami Tensei collaborated with Nintendo’s Fire Emblem series to create Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE for the Wii U.
