WATCH: Street Fighter V Zeku Reveal Trailer

There’s been a lot of news surrounding Street Fighter V lately.

Capcom made sure to announce that an “Arcade Mode” Edition of the game is hitting next year. That soft reboot of the fighter will come with a visual overhaul of the UI, plus new V-Trigger’s and plenty more unannounced content. All of the Season 1 and Season 2 DLC characters will be thrown into that Arcade Edition but at the time of the announcement, no one knew who the last S2 character was…until now. During the South East Asia tournament this weekend, everyone discovered who’s next – Guy from Final Fight’s former master, Zeku.

Zeku is the 38th successor of the Bushinryu School, which means he’s mastered the same skills he’s passed onto his former pupil. Judging by the look of the current roster now, it looks like Ibuki truly has a rival to contend with. She’s gonna have problems handling his offense since it appears to be even faster and more fluid than her’s. A lot of his moveset appears to be a variation on Guy’s existing moveset. Check out the trailer posted above to watch him in action and check out some extra pics of his costumes below:

So now that Season 2 has officially wrapped up, SFV now has Akuma, Kolin, Ed, Abigail, Menat and of course, Zeku. Zeku and all his slick costumes will be available for download on October 24. We’re pleased to see that one of those outfits is similar to Strider’s (ninja pride, right?). Hit up the following link to get a complete breakdown of Zeku’s intricate moveset.

And make sure you check out his V-Skill, V-Trigger and Critical Art descriptions below:

V-Skill: Fukuro (Older Self), Tenpo Kari (Younger Self): Zeku performs a special technique that transforms him to his younger self, completely changing his move set. He can then use Tenpo Kari to transform back. Depending on the directional input you press after the V-Skill connects, Zeku will teleport either in front or behind the opponent

V-Trigger: Bushinryu Shinge Kiko: Allows Zeku to perform a single special dash that can be followed up with a custom combo that deals additional hits. Both forms have the same V-Trigger

Critical Art: Batsuzan Gaisei: Upon kicking the opponent in the air, Zeku follows up with a flurry of strikes while switching forms before stomping them into the ground. Zeku’s Critical Art is the same for both forms
