Animal Crossing Pocket Camp gives players a brand new Animal Crossingexperience except this time it’s not built for a home console but rather a mobile device instead. The game still does an excellent job of retaining the Animal Crossing foundation but also adapts it to the mobile format. One of the ways this adaption was made was through the addition of microtransactions. At least most players will agree a mobile version is better than having another amiibo-based game.

If you’re familiar at all with Animal Crossing, you’ll know a big part of the game is customizing your living area and the same thing applies with this new iteration. Once you craft enough furniture to actually decorate your campsite, you’ll soon have to figure out how and where to put everything.

One of things you’ll be doing in this game is inviting residents to visit your campsite but they will need some convincing first. You’ll need to craft certain objects to get residents to come to your site before they actually come. When you get those furniture pieces crafted, you’ll need to find a place for that piece to go.

To do this, you have to go to your campground and follow these steps:

  • Click on the fourth icon down (the grid) on the right side of your screen
  • Choose either your tent or campsite
  • Click place item
  • Choose your furniture and pick a place to put it

The furniture will show up all at once but you’ll be able to sort through your tables, chairs, bookshelves, etc. so this won’t become a major problem once you begin to craft more furniture. You can also choose to sell your furniture as well if you’re stockpiling too much.

You will be able to move your furniture around once to place it for the first time so don’t worry about making permanent decisions. If you want to rotate your objects, just tap on them and it will change them from a horizontal placement to a vertical one and vice-versa.

If you want to find out what furniture you’ll need to attract characters to your campsite, all you have to do is talk to them and invite them. You’ll find that these characters will usually be more than willing to come to your campsite once you complete a few chores for them. Crafting furniture for characters usually won’t take too long but you can also spend some Leaf Tickets to help speed up the process.

As you upgrade your campsite, you’ll have more room to place items so it’s important to keep a good stockpile of Bells around if you want to fill in the space with new objects. One very easy way to earn a quick influx of Bells is by linking your Nintendo, Facebook and Twitter accounts but there are definitely other ways to get Bells too.
