Fortnite: Battle Royale Supply Drop Contents

Fortnite Battle Royale tips

Epic Games

Fortnite: Battle Royale has taken the battle royale formula by storm and is actually serving as a formidable competitor to Bluehole’s PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. While the two games share many of the same elements, there are some key differences between the two games. One of the biggest draws to Fortnite: Battle Royale is the fact that the game is entirely free to play.

Despite being free-to-play, Fortnite: Battle Royale has continued to pump out patch after patch on a regular basis that is consistently reworking and adding to items to the game. One of those many additions is the addition of supply drops.

These supply drops are rare to find but seem to get more common as the game goes on. They come down from the sky from a balloon and will land somewhere on the map and be available to whoever gets there first. These drops are usually a contested spot on the map so it might be best to build up some sort of defense when you first get to the drop.

The drops are signaled by a distinct noise which will then require you to look up into the sky and locate the package. You will also be able to point on an impending drop by looking for a purple smoke signal on the ground near you. Sometimes you’ll even see a health bar on the balloon itself because the drop can be shot out of the sky for a quicker looting experience.

The contents of these drops can usually help you stay alive longer in a game and will usually provide you with a good weapon or two. Every drop will contain the following:

  • 1x Weapon
  • 2x Ammo stacks
  • 2x Consumables
  • 2x Resource stacks
  • 1x Trap

A post on Reddit went into more detail about what is found in the Supply Drops and here is what you can find in any given drop:

  • Legendary Scar
  • Legendary Rocket Launcher
  • Legendary Grenade Launcher
  • Legendary Bolt Action Sniper Rifle
  • Legendary Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle
  • Epic Scoped Assault Rifle
  • Shield Potion
  • Med Kits
  • Bandages

These supply drops have a tendency to land in trees as well so make sure you look up when you’re looking for drops. You also have to be very careful when you see these enticing drops dropping all around you at the end of the game. You and many other players likely have your eye on them so you have to be willing to risk it all if you want to get some of this legendary loot.

More times than not, the victor of a match will have a Legendary weapon of some sort and for right now it seems the easiest way to obtain a weapon like that is through a supply drop. You can also pray you get lucky early on with a chest.
