Spring is the time for renewal, so take the time to do some spring cleaning of your home, your soul, and your body.
1. Spring Clean the Air in Your Home
Indoor air pollution is often worse than outdoor air pollution. Since we spend most of our time indoors, take the time today to open all your windows and let in some fresh air.
One of the easiest way to improve your indoor air quality is to invest in some houseplants with proven air-cleaning abilities. Recommended plants that act as living air filters: aloe, bamboo palm, green spider plant, snake plant, and peace lily.
2. Start an Herb Garden
Everyday herbs have medicinal uses and cancer-fighting properties. Plants some seedlings in herb pots for an easy and healthy ways to spice up your meals. Try rosemary, parsley, and mint to start.
3. De-Clutter Your Home
Everyone talks about spring cleaning, but the easiest way to add instant organization to your home is to clean out your closets. Make piles of things that you need to throw away or give away so that you’ll have room to organize and store the things that you actually need and use.
4. Spring Clean Your Soul
This can be the day to spring-clean your psyche. It’s always made more sense to me to make resolutions and changes in your life in the spring, when nature is also starting the renewal process. Make a list of life goals and changes you want to make. Call your mother or a cherished friend you haven’t spoken to in awhile. Get closure on a broken relationship or apologize to someone you’ve wronged.
