Horodecki, a veteran of the IFL and WEC, fought last April against David Castillo, winning by submission. The victory came just under four months after Donald Cerrone defeated the Canadian at the final WEC event. He was 2-2 fighting under the Zuffa banner, but was not picked up by the UFC following the merger.
His upcoming opponent, however, has not tasted defeat in some time, winning seven straight bouts. Saunders last fought in April, earning a vicious knockout victory, marking the third time he had earned a knockout win.
Bellator 47 is set for July 23 in Rama, Ontario, Canada and features a pair of semi-final featherweight tournament bouts, including Marlon Sandro vs. Nazareno Malegarie and Pat Curran vs. Ronnie Mann.
