Emerson, Blackburn and Camoes Released From UFC

Three more UFC fighters have been released from their contracts.

Rob Emerson, Brad Blackburn and Fabricio Camoes were cut from the promotion following recent losses. MMA Junkie reported the news this morning.

Emerson lost to Nik Lentz at Fight Night 21, which proved to be the final straw in a less-than-stellar return to the UFC. Emerson, a cast member of season five of The Ultimate Fighter, is perhaps most famous for a bout with Gray Maynard where Emerson submitted due to a rib injury and Maynard knocked himself unconscious at the same time. The fight was ruled a no contest.

Blackburn lost two consecutive bouts to Amir Sadollah and Damarques Johnson. The former IFL vet leaves the promotion with a 3-2 record.

Camoes earned a draw with Caol Uno and lost to Kurt Pellegrino by submission at UFC 111 last month.
