“Strikeforce: Nashville” Workouts Open To Public

Strikeforce Opens Wednesday’s Workout to Public

Strikeforce has invited fans in Nashville to take part in an open workout this Wednesday, April 14.

The open workout kicks off at 1 p.m. CT and will take place at Nashville Mixed Martial Arts. The event is open to both fans and media.

Taking part in the open workout will be Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez, Jason “Mayhem” Miller, Josh Shockman, Dustin West and Ovince Saint Preux. Shockman, West and Saint Preux are all local fighters based out of Nashville.

“Strikeforce: Nashville” will air live on CBS this Saturday night at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. The main event features Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields taking on UFC veteran Dan Henderson. Henderson will be making his debut in the organization after spending most of his career in Pride and the UFC.

In addition to Shields/Henderson, Melendez will be putting his lightweight title on the line against Japanese superstar Shinya Aoki and lightweight title-holder Gegard Mousasi will take on the flamboyant Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal.
