Bonnar vs. Pokrajac, Grove vs. Maia Official For TUF 12 Finale

Two of the most popular contestants in the history of The Ultimate Fighter will return in co-featured fights at December’s TUF 12 Finale event.

Stephan Bonnar, a finalist from season 1 of the popular show, will face Igor Pokrajac while Kendall Grove will face top middleweight contender Demian Maia.

The event takes place Dec. 4 at the Pearl at The Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas. It will be televised on Spike TV and includes the finals of this season’s lightweight tournament.

Bonnar (15-7) faced Forrest Griffin in the season 1 finals. It was one of the memorable fights in mixed martial arts history and is constantly referred to by UFC President Dana White as the most important fight in UFC history. Bonnar is coming off a 2nd round TKO victory over Krzysztof Soszynski at UFC 116 this past July.

Pokrajac (22-7) submitted James Irvin in the first round this past August at “UFC on Versus 2.” A victory over Bonnar would propel him up the light heavyweight ladder.

Grove (14-7, 1 NC), the winner of TUF’s third season, is coming off a victory over Goran Reljic at UFC 116. He faces Maia (13-2), who recently defeated Mario Miranda at UFC 118.
