UFC Fight Night 24 marks the return of “Bruce Leroy” to the Octagon following his time on the last season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

MMAjunkie.com confirmed today that Mackens Semerzier will meet Alex Caceres, who is better known as “Bruce Leroy,” at UFC Fight Night 24.

Cacares, who was a contestant on “The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck,” had a decent run through the tournament, defeating two fighters via submission before Michael Johnson ended his run. However, he fought as a lightweight during the season, but has since opted to drop down 10 lbs. to the featherweight division where he is likely better suited.

His opponent, Semerzier, debuted in the WEC against top featherweight Wagnney Fabiano at “WEC 43: Varner vs. Henderson.” He shocked everyone when he locked on a triangle submission in the opening frame that forced Fabiano, a top level Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter, to tap out. However, since the victory, Semerzier has dropped three straight. A fourth consecutive loss would certainly have him looking for work elsewhere.

UFC Fight Night 24 is set for Seattle, Washington this March, though a venue is yet to be named. The card features such contests as Tito Ortiz vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Dan Hardy vs. Anthony Johnson. However, no fights have been officially announced by the promotion as of yet.
