A heavyweight bout between Brendan Schaub and Stefan Struve has been agreed to for early 2011.

Schaub was originally targeted for a fight with former champion Frank Mir, but the UFC changed the fight and replaced Mir with Struve, who defeated Sean McCorkle at UFC 124 in the first round.

Heavy.com confirmed the switch with a source close to the organization. Sportsnet.ca first reported the change on Monday morning.

Mir could ultimately end up facing Brock Lesnar for a third time.

Schaub last competed at UFC 121 in October, defeating Gabriel Gonzaga by unanimous decision to send Gonzaga packing from the organization. He has scored three wins in a row after losing to Roy Nelson in the finals of the Ultimate Fighter 11 tournament.
