Injury forces Brit off UFC on Versus 3 card
UFC welterweight Mark Scanlon has been forced to withdraw from his UFC on Versus 3 contest with Matt Brown and has been replaced by Matt Riddle.
MMAjunkie.com first reported the injury to Scanlon, while MMAWeekly.com reported the Riddle news.
UFC on Versus 3 is headlined by a welterweight bout between Martin Kampmann and Diego Sanchez. It takes place at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Ky.
Brown is in the midst of a three-fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Ricardo Almeida, Chris Lytle and Brian Foster. Riddle has won two of his past three bouts, dropping a decision to Sean Pierson in his last bout at UFC 124.
