Carlos Condit Forced Out of UFC 127 Bout with Chris Lytle

UFC welterweight contender Carlos Condit has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled UFC 127 match up with Chris Lytle due to a knee injury.

Sportsnet.ca first reported the news on Wednesday and Heavy.com has confirmed the situation with sources close to the bout.

Condit is on a three-fight win streak, including a knockout over Dan Hardy at UFC 120 in his last outing.

A replacement for Condit is unknown, but an announcement is expected soon.

UFC 127 takes place on Feb. 26 at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia and is headlined by welterweights Jon Fitch and B.J. Penn.
