Bellator 42 draws nearly 200,000 viewers

Ratings for Bellator Fighting Championships are on the rise.

Following Bellator 41’s low amount of viewers, the promotion was back this past weekend with Bellator 42, drawing just under 200,000 viewers.

MMAjunkie.com reported the numbers on Tuesday.

Between the past two events, the average audience increased from 132,000 to 199,000 for an impressive and much-needed increase. Furthermore, the replay of Bellator 42 drew 180,000 viewers.

The April 23 event in Concho, Oklahoma featured a pair of light heavyweight semifinal bouts, including Richard Hale’s split-decision victory and Christian M’Pumba’s technical knockout win to set to tournament finale. Also on the card, Ronnie Mann was impressive with a dominant unanimous decision win over Josh Arocho.

Bellator 43 is the next event in line for the promotion and is set for May 7. The card features a welterweight tournament finale between Jay Hieron and Rick Hawn.
