A middleweight bout between Nick Ring and James Head has been added to UFC 131 this June.
UFC officials announced the bout earlier today.
Ring last fought at UFC 127, earning a controversial unanimous decision victory against Riki Fukuda. The win put him at a perfect 11-0, though he has yet to compete in the promotion since the contest.
Meanwhile, Head enters this fight after picking up a pair of wins, last defeating Gerald Harris via unanimous decision. At 7-1, he has earned the majority of his victories via stoppage, having only gone to the judges’ scorecards twice in his short career.
UFC 131 is set for Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on June 11 and features a heavyweight tilt between Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos. Also on the card, former heavyweight top contender Shane Carwin is set to make his return to the cage.
