Pierce, Hendricks expected to meet at UFC 133
A welterwieght tilt between Johny Hendricks and Mike Pierce is in the works for UFC 133 this August.

Hendricks, a former Division I wrestling champion, recently competed at “UFC Fight Night: Nogueira vs. Davis,” earning a technical knockout victory over T.J. Waldburger. Prior to the victory, Hendricks’ undefeated record was put to rest when Rick Story defeated him by unanimous decision at “The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale.”
Meanwhile, Pierce is coming off three consecutive victories and is looking to climb the ranks of the division with a fourth. In his last contest, Pierce earned a technical knockout victory over Kenny Robertson at UFC 126, which followed his wins over Amilcar Alves and Julio Paulino from 2010.
UFC 133 is set for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 6 and features a light heavyweight main event between Phil Davis and Rashad Evans. Light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was expected to face Evans on the card, but he has been forced out of action.
