Branch meets May this month at Shark Fights 15
A middleweight bout between Jeremy May and Dave Branch is official as the main event of this month’s Shark Fights 15.
The promotion announced the headliner earlier today.
Branch, whose time in the UFC came to an end just recently, last competed at “UFC on Versus 3,” losing to renowned submission specialist Rousimar Palhares via kneebar. Prior to that contest he had won consecutive fights under the Zuffa banner, defeating Rich Attonito and Tomasz Drwal.
His upcoming opponent, meanwhile, is coming off a pair of victories, including a recent win over Frank Lester last March. His last defeat came at the hands of Murilo Rua, the brother of former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua, at Impact Fighting Championships’ July event.
Shark Fights 15 is set for May 27 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, though broadcast plans have yet to be announced. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
