The news was revealed by officials from the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
In his last bout, Te Huna faced off against fellow prospect Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 127, losing via submission late in the first round. The loss was his first since 2007 and evened up his record in the UFC to 1-1.
Like Te Huna, Romero earned his first loss in the UFC in his last fight after getting knocked out by Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 126. Prior to that fight, he defeated Seth Petruzelli in their highly-entertaining UFC 116 contest. He is also 1-1 in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
UFC 135 is set for September 24 in Denver, Colorado and features a light heavyweight main event between champion Jon Jones and top contender Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Tickets for the event go on sale this week.
