Jardine announced the news via Twitter. He’ll be competing on the December card that is expected to be headlined by a lightweight title fight between Gilbert Melendez and Jorge Masvidal. Gina Carano is also expected to make her return on the same event.
Strikeforce officials have not confirmed the booking.
Jardine will enlist the help of noted nutritionist Mike Dolce to make the cut. He has not competed since going to a draw with Gegard Masvidal in his Strikeforce debut at “Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley” in April.
