Bellator Prelim Fights To Stream Live On Spike.com

Bellator, Spike partnership begins on Saturday

Bellator Fighting Championships today announced that it has partnered with Spike TV to stream all preliminary bouts for free on Spike.com.

Bellator confirmed the news with HeavyMMA.com on Tuesday morning.

“Fight fans have been coming to our site for years for great mixed martial arts clips and information,” said Erik Flannigan, an executive with MTV Networks Entertainment Group. “Now we are thrilled to provide them with action-packed live fighting each week.”

“We are thrilled to join forces with Spike.com,” said Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney. “The Spike brand is synonymous with mixed martial arts worldwide and is another member of the MTV family, who does an incredible job in resonating with the hard-to-reach 18-to-34-year-old male audience.”

The partnership begins with Bellator 49 this weekend. Bellator’s main cards air live on MTV2 and on Epix in high-definition. Bellator 49 features four welterweight tournament quarterfinal fights, with the eventual winner facing champion Ben Askren.
