Ferguson, Edwards clash at TUF 14 Finale

A lightweight contest between “The Ultimate Fighter Season 13” winner Tony Ferguson and 59-fight veteran Yves Edwards is official for “The Ultimate Fighter 14” season finale in December.

UFC officials confirmed the bout today.

At 12-2 as a professional, Ferguson enters his second UFC contest since winning “The Ultimate Fighter” title with a knockout victory over Ramsey Nijam at the thirteenth season’s finale. Just under four months later, he returned to the cage against Aaron Riley and earned his second stoppage win in the Octagon with a first round technical knockout due to doctor stoppage after breaking his opponent’s jaw.

Like his younger opponent, Edwards is also coming off a technical knockout victory, stopping Rafaello Oliveira with punches at “UFC on Versus 6.” The win was his third since returning to the UFC in September of last year and came four months after his brutal knockout loss to Sam Stout at UFC 131.

“The Ultimate Fighter Season 14” is currently being aired on Spike TV every Wednesday night and will be the final season of the series on that network. This season features bantamweight and featherweight fighters, who are being coached by either Jason “Mayhem” Miller or Michael Bisping.

The season finale is set to take place on December 3 at the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. Miller and Bisping will compete in the evening’s main event.
