Hardy, Sadollah meet in Nottingham

A welterweight contest between strikers Dan Hardy and Amir Sadollah has been announced for “UFC on FUEL TV 5” this September in the United Kingdom.

UFC officials announced the news today.

Hardy last competed at UFC 146 in Las Vegas, earning a knockout victory over Duane Ludwig on the evening’s preliminary card. The win snapped a four-fight losing streak, which began in March of 2010 against UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre.

Meanwhile, Sadollah finds himself back in the win column after earning a split-decision against Jorge Lopez back in May. Having spent all nine of his professional fights in the UFC, Sadollah is 6-3, though he has yet to extend a winning streak past two.

The welterweight contest will likely take place on the main card of “UFC on FUEL TV 5,” which is set for Nottingham, England on September 29. Heavyweights Stefan Struve and Stipe Miocic will headline the event.
