“TUF” winner Chiesa returns in Dec.
A lightweight bout between “The Ultimate Fighter: Live” winner Mike Chiesa and Rafaello Oliveira is official for “UFC on FOX 5” this December.
UFC officials announced the bout Thursday evening.
“UFC on FOX 5” takes place in Seattle, Washington on December 8 and features a lightweight title fight between 155 lb. champion Benson Henderson and top contender Nate Diaz.
Chiesa earned the title of “The Ultimate Fighter” when he defeated Al Iaquinta via submission in the latest American season’s finale.
His opponent, Oliveira, however, already has competed six times in the UFC, though he has little to show for it. At 2-4 under the Zuffa banner, he is in desperate need of a victory to avoid being aced for a second time.
