Griggs, Diabate meet at UFC 154
A light heavyweight match up between Chad Griggs and Cyrille Diabate has been added to UFC 154.
The event is set for November 17 in Montreal, and the main event features UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and interim champ Carlos Condit.
UFC officials announced the 205 lb. match up earlier today.
Griggs debuted with the UFC earlier in 2012, losing to contender Travis Browne via first round submission. The loss led Griggs to drop to the 205 lb. mark.
Meanwhile, Diabate was expected to meet Fabio Maldonado at “UFC on FUEL TV 5,” but Maldanado was moved to UFC 154 against Glover Teixeira. Diabate last competed at “UFC on FUEL TV 2,” earning a majority decision win.
