Harris, Rutten to call WSOF 1

The World Series of Fighting officially has a commentating team.

The promotion, which debuts early next month, brought on Todd Harris and Bas Rutten to take care of color commentary.

WSOF officials announced the news on Tuesday.

“World Series of Fighting 1” takes place on November 3 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card features a heavyweight clash between Andrei Arlovski and Devin Cole.

UFC veterans Miguel Torres and Anthony Johnson will also appear on the main card.

The card broadcast live on the NBC Sports Network.

The broadcast team for the event originally featured Michael Schiavello, Kurt Angle, and Rutten, but there were complications. Angle could not participate due to contractual obligations to Viacom, and he was replaced.

Renzo Gracie took his slot, but then more changes were made, bringing on Rutten and Harris as the official voices of the promotion, at least for the inaugural event.

Harris is best known for his work in commentary for the WEC and has since moved on to other ventures within the MMA industry, though he remains focused on broadcasting.
