Strikeforce welterweight title fight headlines Jan. 29 card.

Jason Miller won’t get his fight with Nick Diaz.

Diaz will instead defend his Strikeforce welterweight title against Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos in the main event of the Jan. 29 Strikeforce show in San Jose.

MMAFighting.com reported the story on Wednesday morning, and HeavyMMA.com confirmed the report with a source close to the organization.

Diaz and Miller couldn’t agree on a catchweight bout, and both fighters refused to change weight classes in order to make the bout happen.

Santos is 1-1 in his Strikeforce tenure. He defeated Marius Zaromskis at Strikeforce: Los Angeles in his welterweight debut. Diaz defended his belt against KJ Noons in October. He defeated Zaromskis via first-round TKO to capture the title.

Also featured on the Showtime-televised card: a middleweight title fight between Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and Robbie Lawler, Herschel Walker vs. Scott Carson and Roger Gracie vs. Trevor Prangley.
