“Countdown to UFC 108: Evans vs. Silva” will debut tonight at 11 p.m. ET on Spike TV.
The central focus of the show is the main event bout between Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva. I’ve seen an early copy of the show, and they did a stellar job of spotlighting Silva’s taunting of Keith Jardine in his last bout to create an interesting grudge.
An equal amount of time is spent on the co-main event bout between Paul Daley and Dustin Hazelett. Daley was originally scheduled to face Carlos Condit on the card, but was forced to withdraw from the bout after slicing his hand open while working in his garage. Hazelett, known as one of the most exciting submission artists in the game, stepped in to replace Condit against the hard-hitting British striker.
