Paul Daley vs. Josh Koscheck Expected for UFC 113

Devastating British striker Paul Daley will meet Josh Koscheck at UFC 113 in May.

That’s according to a report from MMA Junkie, who revealed that both Daley and Koscheck have verbally agreed to the bout.

Daley initially revealed the bout news last week and confirmed during interviews this week that Koscheck would be his next opponent. Daley asked for the Koscheck bout immediately after his UFC 108 knockout victory over Dustin Hazelett, saying that he preferred to face Koscheck or Thiago Alves because both would be willing to have a stand-up battle.

The build for the fight is sure to be an entertaining one. Koscheck has engaged in a war of words with Daley teammate Dan Hardy in recent months, and Daley can more than hold his own in the entertainment department.

Daley made his UFC debut in September with a quick destruction of top contender Martin Kampmann, and followed that up with a highlight-reel KO of Dustin Hazelett to close out the year.

Koscheck defeated Anthony Johnson in controversial fashion during his last bout at UFC 106 and is considered a top contender for the welterweight championship.

UFC 113 takes place on May 1 in Montreal and is headlined by a light heavyweight title rematch between Lyoto Machida and Shogun Rua.
