Mark Coleman needed to beat Randy Couture more than anything. He needed the win for a new contract. He needed the win so he could support his daughters. He needed the win so he could live a comfortable life.
Sadly, Coleman didn’t get the win. An aging, plodding wrestler who never learned the nuances of mixed martial arts, Coleman presented zero challenge for Couture, who peppered Coleman with plenty of shots before finally getting a rear naked choke.
After the fight, Tito Ortiz apparently decided to interject himself into the proceedings and began shouting at Coleman from the crowd. Despite Joe Rogan’s urge to ignore Ortiz, Coleman turned around and addressed Ortiz, telling him that any time he wanted a fight, he could have it.
