Doerksen Replaces Tim Credeur at UFC 113

Veteran Joe Doerksen (44-12) will step in to replace an injured Tim Credeur at UFC 113. Doerksen will face Tom Lawlor on the undercard of the event.

UFC 113 takes place May, 8 at the Bell Centre in Montreal. The main event features a rematch between light heavyweight Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

Doerksen last fought in the UFC at UFC 83, losing to Jason McDonald by TKO. He has won five fights in a row since leaving the organization. He just fought on April 16, defeating Chad Herrick by split decision at King of the Cage “Bad Boys 2.”

Doerksen’s most notable victories came over Chris Leben and Ed Herman. He has won 32 of 44 of his career fights via submission.

Lawlor (6-2) is coming off of a loss to Aaron Simpson at UFC Fight Night 20 in January. Five of Lawlor’s six wins have come by knockout, technical knockout or submission.
