UFC Fan Expo To Feature 2nd Annual Grappling Tournament

The UFC Fan Expo is set for the end of May at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV. It will coincide with the highly anticipated UFC 114 event, and the promotion announced today that the weekend will also feature a Grappler’s Quest tournament, just as it did in 2009.

The tournament, which spans two days, will be held in front of the UFC Fan Expo attendees with 1,500 competitors between May 28 and May 29. The weigh-ins for the competitors will take place on May 27. The entire event will be held in the same place as the Fan Expo, the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

In addition to the tournament, there will be several “superfights” between grappling legends. UFC lightweight Joe Stevenson took part last year.

Registration for the event is priced at $99.00 for one division, $149.00 for two, $179.00 for three, and $199.00 for four. The divisions include everything from adult superfights to children no-gi events to teen Brazilian jiu-jitsu divisions.

The 2009 event sold out completely, and tickets for this year’s event will not last long. For more information on the event or to register, check out grapplersquest.com.
