Seth Petruzelli Returns To The UFC

Seth Petruzelli announced via Twitter this afternoon that he’s returning to the UFC.

Petruzelli, a former contestant on the second season of The Ultimate Fighter, found stardom when he knocked out Kimbo Slice during an October 2008 show for the now-defunct EliteXC promotion. He’ll return to the national stage for a bout against Ricardo Romero next month at UFC 116.

As originally reported by Heavy.com, Romero was slated to face Steve Cantwell, but Cantwell pulled out of the bout on Thursday morning.

UFC 116 takes place July 3 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a heavyweight title bout between the returning Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin.
