Second “Fight For The Troops” special draws average audience of nearly two million.

The ratings are in for last weekend’s “UFC Fight Night: Fight For The Troops 2” and they are a big improvement compared to the last “UFC Fight Night.”

MMAjunkie.com confirmed today with Spike TV officials that the broadcast, which aired live on both coasts, brought in an average of 1.85 million viewers and a household rating of 1.3. The average audience was over one-half million greater than “UFC Fight Night: Marquardt vs. Palhares.”

Additionally, the event reached a peak audience of 2.5 million during the broadcast, which featured a main event between lightweight contenders Melvin Guillard and Evan Dunham that ended with a brutal knockout for “The Young Assassin.” Also on the card, heavyweight Matt Mitrione scored a big knockout against Tim Hague in front of the soldiers at Fort Hood, while Mark Hominick did the same in his featherweight contest against George Roop.
