UFC 127 Prelims Averaged 714,000 Viewers On ION Television

The UFC 127 preliminary fights on ION Television averaged 714,000 viewers.

UFC 127 was the second time ION television aired UFC preliminary bouts, and the numbers were slightly down. They first partnered with the UFC for UFC 125, which had 829,000 viewers.

The one-hour broadcast featured three fights. Those who tuned in witnessed Ross Pearson defeat Spencer Fisher, Alexander Gustafsson submit James Te Huna, and Nick Ring win a controversial decision over Riki Fukuda.

The 714,000 viewers was a significant drop from the UFC 126 “Live Prelims” show that aired on Spike TV and drew a record 2 million viewers.

The UFC 128 “Live Prelims” will return to Spike TV on March 19 from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

UFC 127 took place on Feb. 26 at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia. Welterweight contenders Jon Fitch and B.J. Penn fought to a majority draw in the main event.
