Round 5 is heading to the UFC Fan Expo this weekend, and they are bringing an exclusive figurine collector’s item with them.
According to the company, a limited edition Georges St. Pierre figure will be available at the expo this Friday and Saturday. Featuring the welterweight champion in his pre-fight black gi he wore prior to his fight against B.J. Penn at UFC 94, the figurine will be available at the Round 5 booth, though there will only be 1,000.
“The biggest fight in UFC history is happening in Toronto, and as a Canadian company we felt that we really had to give our hardcore collectors something incredible,” said Round 5 President Damon Lau. “We don’t expect that these will be available for more than a few hours, so if you want one, you should arrive early.”
The company is not just giving fans the opportunity to purchase the limited edition item, as five random fans will have another opportunity. Attached to five of the St. Pierre figures will be a golden ticket that will allow five people a unique opportunity.
“We will randomly attach “Golden Tickets” to the back of select GSP figures, these tickets will entitle the purchaser to have their head scanned, and printed onto an existing Round 5 body,” said Lau. “These figures will be official Round 5 products and will be one of a kind pieces.”
The Round 5 booth can be visited at the Fan Expo in Toronto this weekend on April 29 and April 30. The event will take place prior to UFC 129 this Saturday, which features a welterweight title fight between aforementioned champion St. Pierre and top contender Jake Shields.
