A featherweight bout between Leonard Garcia and Alex Caceres is official for “UFC on Versus 5” this August.
The UFC announced the bout earlier today.
Caceres, better known as “Bruce Leeroy” during his time on “The Ultimate Fighter,” debuted in the UFC against WEC veteran Mackens Semerzier at “UFC Fight Night: Nogueira vs. Davis,” losing via first round submission. The loss pushed his professional record to an unimpressive 4-3.
Caceres doesn’t get a break in his second fight, however, meeting a longtime veteran and former featherweight top contender in Garcia, who is coming off a submission loss of his own. The WEC veteran fell victim to the rare twister submission in his rematch with Chan Sung Jung last March.
“UFC on Versus 5” is set for August 14 in Milwaukee, Wisonsin, featuring a welterweight tilt between Dan Hardy and Chris Lytle. Lightweight contenders Ben Henderson and Jim Miller are also set to do battle.
