UFC 134 takes place Aug. 27 at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. It is headlined by a middleweight title fight between Anderson Silva and Yushin Okami. The Miller/Palhares fight will take place on the preliminary card.
Miller lost a decision to former UFC fighter Nate Marquardt at UFC 128 in March. The loss broke a two-fight win streak for Miller, who was attempting to turn things around after losing consecutive bouts to Chael Sonnen, Demian Maia and Michael Bisping.
Palhares is considered one of the best jiujitsu practitioners in mixed martial arts. He’s coming off a submission win over Dave Branch at UFC on Versus 3 in March.
