Herman Replaces Lawlor, Meets Noke At Versus 5

Herman steps in for injured Lawlor against Noke

UFC fan favorite Tom Lawlor has been forced out of his “UFC on Verus 5” bout with Kyle Noke, and Ed Herman has stepped in to face the Australian “Ultimate Fighter” veteran.

“The Daily Telegraph” was the first to report the news earlier today.

Herman, who is also a veteran of the UFC’s popular reality series, recently earned a fast technical knockout win over Tim Credeur at “The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale.” The bout was his first in nearly two years after serious knee issues kept him from competing.

Meanwhile, Noke has been fortunate enough to stay very healthy and active, finding a good deal of success along the way. He last fought at UFC 127 when he submitted Chris Camozzi via rear naked choke. The victory is his third since fighting on “The Ultimate Fighter,” a streak which includes wins over Rob Kimmons and Josh Bryant.

“UFC on Versus 5” is set for Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 14 and features a main event between welterweights Dan Hardy and Chris Lytle. A lightweight contender bout between Jim Miller and Ben Henderson will also be on the card.
