Police nab TUF 14 coach for simple assault, false imprisonment
Jason “Mayhem” Miller, one of the coaches on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter, was arrested last week in North Carolina.
According to reports, Miller prevented his sister from leaving the house party they were attending by placing her in a headlock. She later left the party and informed Chatham Country Sheriff’s Office of the incident, and Miller was arrested for simple assault and false imprisonment. He was subsequently released after posting $5,000 bail and was scheduled to appear in Chatham Country District Court on August 16.

After fighting under the Strikeforce banner for the last two years and garnering a level of mainstream success as the host of MTV’s hit show “Bully Beatdown,” Miller became the first former Strikeforce fighter to sign with the UFC following Zuffa’s acquisition of the company back in March. He was originally expected to make his return to the Octagon at UFC 132 against Aaron Simpson, but was later removed from the bout and announced as one of the coaches for the 14th season of The Ultimate Fighter.
Miller will coach a team of featherweight and bantamweight fighters opposite Brit Michael Bisping on the final season of the long-running reality TV program on Spike TV. Beginning in 2012, The Ultimate Fighter will move to FX and get a much-needed retooling as part of yesterday’s announced television deal between FOX and the UFC.
There have been no comments from Miller or the UFC about the incident at this time.
